Programs

Refugee Women Transitional Support: A program funded through a grant from The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio Refugee Women Transitional Support is a childcare cooperative to help women gain economic independence. In collaboration with Children’s Hunger Alliance, RWIA trains women to become certified childcare providers, enabling them to set up daycare services within their homes. To learn more about this program and our partners, please visit www.womensfundcentralohio.org or www.childrenshungeralliance.org

Life Skills

To help the transition in a new life, RWIA teaches women the life skills they need in their own native language. Please visit www.alcolumbus.org to learn more about how this organization helps in the community.

Language Mentoring

RWIA pairs refugees with volunteers for one-on-one tutoring for English language proficiency in reading and writing, as well as basic math skills.
