What We do.

Resource Referral and Case Management

To help the transition in a new life, RWIA connects immigrant and refugee families to community resources, including: employment, legal, food pantry, free clothing and diapers, free healthcare, ESL and domestic violence support services.

Community-based English Classes

RWIA pairs refugees with volunteers for small group tutoring in English language proficiency in reading and writing and speaking.

Our Past Programs

Refugee Women Transitional Support

Refugee Women Transitional Support: A program funded through a grant from The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio.  Refugee Women Transitional Support is a childcare cooperative to help women gain economic independence. In the past, RWIA has trained women to become certified childcare providers, enabling them to set up daycare services within their homes.

Life Skills

To help the transition in a new life, RWIA teaches women the life skills they need in their own native language.

Home-based English Classes

RWIA pairs refugees with volunteers for small group tutoring in English language proficiency in reading and writing, as well as basic math skills.
